MILKWEED
Milkweed approach folk as a living, mysterious material, open to distortion and transformation. Moving between British tradition, folkloric trip hop, distortion and an almost spectral lo-fi production, the duo turns historical and cultural source material into songs of strange, magnetic beauty. Their latest release, Remscéla (2025), partially reimagines Thomas Kinsella’s translation of the Irish pagan epic Táin Bó Cúailnge. A project that keeps oral storytelling traditions alive through misty melodies, experimentation and a distinctly contemporary fascination with ritual.
