ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY
PARQUESVR
Parquesvr is a rock band from Madrid whose members have been active in the rock scene for more than fifteen years. In April, they released their fourth album, Mitos y leyendas, which they are currently presenting at spring and summer festivals before embarking on an extensive club tour throughout the autumn and winter. Tickets for most of their winter shows have already sold out, including Madrid’s La Riviera, which sold out two months in advance, and Barcelona’s Sala Apolo.
PARQUESVR are like Kase.O if he were further left-wing and had chosen emotional violence with guitars and cheap beer on the outskirts of Madrid. The first time I heard them, they were playing the song “Pero”, and it made me laugh quite a lot. In fact, I was annoyed I hadn’t written it myself. From there, I started discovering more of their work, since we share a fondness for making lists of things, as happens in the songs “Todos menos tú” and “Los mánagers”. That said, the day I first saw what they looked like, I was completely stunned. Suddenly, a bunch of forty-somethings? It doesn’t suit them, I thought. And that is how, at almost thirty, I ended up one Thursday being the youngest person watching them play at Apolo.
