IL MAGO DEL GELATO
Il Mago Del Gelato is a blend of funk, afrobeat, and jazz. Their sound combines Mediterranean influences with the cultural diversity of Milan’s Via Padova district. In 2023, the group was included in Rolling Stone’s Class of 2023. In May of that year, they released their debut single, Zenzero. In 2024, the band signed with the label Dischi Numero Uno and released the single Pandora, marking the start of a new phase. In 2025, they presented their first album, Chi È Nicola Felpieri?.

Back when people still drank and could still afford taxi rides. Back when there was still a sense that the night was meant to be used. Now it always seems to be daytime. But IL MAGO DEL GELATO is night: ancestral disco infused with remarkable musical sophistication. Afrobeat and B-movie synthesizers that sound timeless, as if the Pantocrator of Sant Climent de Taüll had an ice-cream scoop melting over the words Ego sum lux mundi. A nocturnal lux.
