MARTE LASARTE
Marte Lasarte is an electronic pop and rock band from Donostia-San Sebastián, formed by Borja Antón and Pello Armendariz following the dissolution of Skakeitan. Later, Lore Nekane Billelabeitia and Alex Alonso joined the project, completing the quartet. Their debut album, Ez Da Besterik, was released in 2024 and blends styles such as post punk, pop rock, electronic music, indie, and new wave. More recently, the band released two new singles, Errepidean and Kristalezko Gaua, as a preview of their forthcoming album, scheduled for release at the end of 2026.
We have all gone through (or are going through) the agonising ordeal of disguising our personality. Do we want to be funny or serious? Decisive or mysterious? Classic or modern? MARTE LASARTE embodies rebellious youth: “don’t put me in a box, mum!” At the same time, the young person is discovering themselves and exploring their possibilities; they allow themselves to be swallowed up by the ghosts of music, and if the result is a punk song, a pop-rock track, or something more electronic, what does it matter? Music, after all, is meant more to be felt than to be thought about, isn’t it?
