LINA_ and Marco Mezquida present O Fado, a passionate musical adventure offering a fresh perspective on this intangible heritage of humanity. The project arises from an intense and creative dialogue marked by empathy and mutual admiration. In concert, LINA_’s deep and expressive voice meets Mezquida’s sensitive piano in a meeting of tradition and reinvention.
What happens when the magic, the keyboard’s lightness, and the surprising ability of pianist Marco Mezquida join forces with the multi-awarded singer LINA_, steeped in the popular expression of fado? The honesty and seduction of the Menorcan provide an improvised runway to lift the lyrics of the Portuguese artist into flight. Their romance lands when the shadows of the talayots, projected onto 88 black-and-white cyclops, pierce the depths of fate and merge into the emotion of the song. An attraction that can only be appreciated through Mezquida’s poetry and Rodrigues’ fluidity.
