A native of Terrassa — a jazz stronghold par excellence — ALBA PUJALS is one of the most outstanding emerging talents on our musical scene. Her style brings together the mastery of the classics and the daring of the contemporary. Trained at the best schools in the country, sharpened in Amsterdam, and blessed at New York’s Juilliard School under the mentorship of Wynton Marsalis, she released her debut album Apologia (The Changes, 2023) — a true statement of principles in integrity and courage. In her hands lies the spirited, enthusiastic, and defiant nature of 21st-century jazz. As a composer and instrumentalist, PUJALS radiates vitality and infectious energy.
